Faith

Spiritual Core

The emphasis is on teaching spiritual values. We strive to enable the pupils to understand the nature of their Krishna conscious beliefs and practices and the importance of these to their lives. We encourage the children to reflect on their experiences and to become aware of themselves, their relationships with others and the world around them. Caring, sharing and consideration for others forms the basis of religious education. We teach knowledge and understanding of our heritage as well as respect and understanding of all religions. The religious curriculum includes the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna Book, Caitanya Caritamrita, Srimad Bhagavatam and Planting the Seed. Festivals are celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm and our assemblies often have a religious theme.

“This outstanding provision is a strength of the school. High priority is placed on pupils’ spiritual and moral development as this lies at the heart of the school. Pupils have may opportunities for reflection and prayers at the school. Vedic devotional themes are prevalent in many lessons and pupils are encouraged to reflect on and link these to their work”
